Sunday’s ‘WolfPack Walks & Party In The Plaza’ was an AMAZING day.
A free community-inclusive activity that we do at The Sustainable City every month, this month we made it festive!
An activity for everyone, for all ages & abilities. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is equal. It’s about community ‘togetherness’ - Inclusive Impactivity!
Over 100+ people participated, it was SO much fun! Thank you Santa for joining us!
It started with a 1.5km walk of community inclusion around the beautiful grounds of The Sustainable City,
After the walk we celebrated inclusion by watching festive inclusive performances from local talent; including:
An inclusive singing performance by The Jingle Belles (Evelyn, Jordanna, Mona). They were amazing!
A book reading of Dr Jennifer Camulli’s accessible & inclusive Christmas book “Santa Doesn’t Break House Rules”. Thank you Jennifer for allowing us to share your book & thank you to our inclusive reading team for reading the story: Ivana, Aditya, Ramnath, Johann & Santa. Such a special book & wonderful team of readers!
An inclusive festive art segment, of creating wishes to hang on the wishing tree, designed by the talented Lauren from @colab_company . There were some magical wishes on the tree by the end; it was very touching!
In-between each segment, we had so many wonderful giveaways that Nick & Santa gave out: balls, kites, hula hoops, skateboards, trampoline, tents, bike, etc; great prizes, all kindly sponsored by @irepartners - thank you IREP for all the support again!
To win the prizes we had fun challenges! The best had to be the mum & dad dance off for the tent and bike; there were some VERY impressive, fun dance moves there! Get practising mums & dad’s for next month!
Everyone on stage & participating were a mix of people with & without disabilities, no one was labelled, no one was introduced by their ability, everyone was just together; true, community inclusion!
Thank you Kim from @irepartners for the amazing photos.
Thank you Ivana, Olivera & Lauren for assisting with the organising.
THANK YOU to everyone that joined us for embracing #InclusiveImpactvity
